WHY WE ARE SWIMMING...

We are swimming to raise money and awareness for the Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Center at Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach.

The pediatric hematology oncology program began at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach in 1976. Over the years, it has grown in size, sophistication and complexity. The program was officially dedicated in November 1983 as the Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Center.

JJCCC is a multidisciplinary center dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, research and education of children with cancer and blood diseases. The center is a coordinated inpatient, outpatient and community outreach program providing the most advanced techniques for the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and continuing care of children with cancer and blood diseases. The philosophy of compassionate patient care is characterized by a collaborative approach to meet the total needs of the patient and family, including medical, emotional, scholastic, social and spiritual needs.
